Hey there, this week may be a bit challenging for some as we’re focusing on the power of feedback to refine and improve your creative work.

Actionable Tip: Seek feedback to improve your work. Receiving constructive feedback can provide valuable insights. And yet, it can be challenging because we don't want to hear negative things about our work but for our personal development and growth. Don’t be afraid to ask for opinions and suggestions from others.

Inspiration Corner: I deal with rejection sensitivity quite often and have to challenge myself to just go for it. This year I have entered my artwork into juried events to push that edge of my comfort zone. I don't know too many pyrography artists and asking my friends or family for feedback doesn't make sense. When I sell at events, the feedback is always "your art is amazing". Being accepted into new places to sell my art, seems validation in some ways. And here's the thing, I know there is always room for improvement and getting feedback can be a game-changer for the creative process.

Creative Challenge: Ask for feedback on a current project. Here’s how:

  1. Choose Your Reviewer: Select someone whose opinion you trust and value. You can come into the community and ask for feedback here.
  2. Be Specific: Ask for feedback on particular aspects, like composition, color scheme, or storytelling.
  3. Stay Open: Be open to constructive criticism and use it to improve your work.
  4. Reflect: Take time to reflect on the feedback and decide how to incorporate it.

Resources: Websites like MindTools and Medium have excellent articles on how to handle feedback constructively. Additionally, books like "Thanks for the Feedback" by Douglas Stone and Sheila Heen provide deeper insights.

Feedback is a powerful tool for growth. Use it to refine your work and continue evolving as a creative.

Stay wild-hearted!

Cheers,
